The entertainment industry had long been plagued with scalpers and fraudulent tickets, among other issues.
Traditional methods of issuing tickets is suboptimal for both events organisers and customers, resulting in a range of problems:

Meanwhile, event organisers and artists are able to communicate with ticket holders through the platform to inform them of special events, updates and other content, optimised to their previous behaviours within the platform. With this technology, forging or illegally duplicating tickets becomes much more difficult, significantly reducing the risk of counterfeits.
And the use of smart contract technology enables Live Nation to enforce rules around the transfer of tickets, ensuring that even if tickets are resold, event organisers are aware of the latest owner of the ticket.
