The Aventus Cloud is now live. This initial ‘Infrastructure Launch’ phase activates the decentralised hosting layer that will power the Aventus Network and its ecosystem of appchains.

For the first three months, the network will run solely to bootstrap and stabilise the infrastructure. After this period, ecosystem appchains and blockchains will begin actively deploying on it.

Here is what you need to know about the rollout:

What is Aventus Cloud and Who is it For?

Aventus Cloud provides enterprises with an out of the box decentralised validator network. It replaces complex integrations and private servers with a distributed global network.

  • For Enterprises: Following the three month infrastructure phase, Aventus Cloud will allow businesses to design, launch, and scale purpose built blockchains. Enterprises can deploy appchains to create new revenue streams and improve efficiency without the overhead of recruiting and managing their own node operators.
  • For the Web3 Ecosystem: It ensures the Aventus Network remains secure and decentralised, supported by a community of independent node operators from day one.

Instructions for Node Operators

If you own an Aventus Cloud node licence, you can begin securing the cloud network immediately by following these steps:

  1. Obtain Your Config File: Request your unique configuration file directly from your node seller, who will also provide a setup guide to walk you through the process.
  2. Download the App: Download the ‘AVN Node Dashboard’ app (Windows, Mac, or Linux) from our official GitHub repository: https://github.com/AventusDAO/avn-cloud-dashboard
  3. Upload and Run: Launch the app on your computer and upload your config file.

Once the app is running, your primary task during this initial three month phase is to ensure it stays online to help stabilise the network.

Note: Customers previously supported under Block Terminal will now be serviced by Knowd.

Important Notes for Operators:

  • Help: You should contact your node sellers first for any setup issues. The AVN Node Dashboard app includes a help section that explains how the system works and details what your data shows. If after trying you need assistance from Aventus, please email our node support team.
  • Operation: Currently, the application configuration is only stored in memory. If you close the application or if your computer restarts, you must repeat the setup process by launching the app and re-uploading your config file.
  • App Status: The application is currently unsigned. We are in the process of securing official developer certificates for both Windows and Mac, so you may see a standard operating system warning when opening the app for the first time. The app does not make any changes to your operating system, so should be safe to continue.

How to Buy an Aventus Cloud Node

Aventus Cloud relies on a distributed network of independent operators. By purchasing and running a node now, you provide the foundational compute power that secures the network when the appchains go live.

If you want to participate and acquire a node licence, there are currently two approved node sellers for Aventus Cloud:

In return for maintaining this infrastructure, node operators earn rewards for their direct contribution to the network.
