Partnership between NFLA and Aventus aims to provide a one-of-a-kind experience to fans and empower retired NFL players via 360 Web3 experience, including digital collectibles and metaverse elements
The National Football League Alumni (NFLA) is partnering with Aventus, a parachain in the Polkadot ecosystem which helps organizations adopt Web3 – the new blockchain-based decentralized world wide web.
Together, the NFLA and Aventus will bring a complete Web3 experience, including digital collectibles and metaverse-based experiences. The partnership will empower retired NFL players by providing them with new revenue streams and direct-to-fan communication with no geographical barriers – supporting the NFLA’s wider mission of “Caring For Our Own”.
The NFLA is the oldest, most well-known and well-respected retired player organization in professional sports, with membership comprising thousands of retired players, coaches, front office executives, spouses, cheerleaders, and avid fans.
The digital collectibles will not only give fans a piece of NFL history, but also offer a range of rewards and benefits, from signed merchandise to physical and metaverse-based experiences with some of the most well-respected NFL players in history and the opportunity to shape the future of the project by giving owners of the digital collectibles the opportunity to vote on key decisions such as future NFT drops.
