# Aventus DAO

> Aventus is a non-profit DAO building enterprise blockchain infrastructure since 2017. The network powers Aventus Cloud — a community-owned decentralised compute network of approximately 40,000 global nodes — and Aventus Enterprise Appchains, custom blockchains built on Substrate for businesses such as Heathrow APH, Energy Web, Enigmatic Smile, and Predictor Network.

Aventus runs in three layers:

- **Aventus Cloud** — a decentralised compute network where node operators run a light client to earn AVT (the network token) plus tokens from every appchain that uses the cloud for compute.
- **Enterprise Appchains** — custom Substrate-based blockchains tuned for the speed, finality, privacy, security and compliance a given business needs. Deployed by Chain Reactor; live in production since 2019.
- **AVT** — the Aventus Network Token. Used to pay for compute, to stake on nodes, and to govern the DAO. Listed on Coinbase, MEXC, Gate, Uniswap.

- 2,000+ TPS achievable on an Aventus appchain; block time under 6 seconds; transaction fees around $0.01.
- 7.5M+ Energy Web tokens transferred via the Aventus ↔ Ethereum bridge with no interruption.
- 800+ active worker nodes connected to Energy Web X.
- 14,625 AVT distributed daily to active Cloud nodes in Year 1, halving annually.
- Node rewards also include up to 5% of the token supply of every appchain that uses Aventus Cloud.
