dWe recently ran a governance proposal, in which members of the community who participated in the previous Aventus staking program were able to vote on whether Sezame Wallet will be granted 10,000 AVT.
The grant is in exchange for Sezame’s development, successful launch, and ongoing maintenance of the AVT Wallet – which will allow AVT holders to stake AVT, and withdraw their staked AVT and rewards more autonomously, easily and frequently.
As Aventus transitions from an enterprise-first B2B approach to a more B2C-focused approach, including engaging the Aventus community more effectively and becoming an active and functional member of the Polkadot ecosystem, it is crucial that we give our community an accessible self custody solution to hold their Aventus based assets, participate in staking and vote on governance proposals. The wallet that Sezame has created enables this.
There was no quorum for the vote (meaning that the outcome was determined on the decision that secured the majority of votes), and each non-staked AVT was equivalent to one vote, while each staked AVT was equivalent to two votes.
Voting closed on 7 June, with the proposal receiving 1 million votes in total – 100% of which approved the proposal, meaning that Sezame will be granted the 10,000 AVT. You can see full details of the vote here.
