$AVT Staking announcement as the program reaches over 90% capacity
Since the last bi-weekly update, the $AVT Staking Program received approximately one full node’s worth staked $AVT (250,000 or 10% of the total), bringing the program to around 90% full — which is fantastic news for everyone.
Part 2 of the program closes once full.
To avoid disastrously high Ethereum gas fees for $AVT withdrawals from the staking program, we will group all staking fees and make them available for withdrawal over the Aventus Network in one simple transaction, with one single transaction fee — at a cost of about 1c.
We expect this functionality to go live in Q1 2022, meaning $AVT stakers are unable to withdraw their share of fees until then.
Rest assured that your share of transaction fees are accruing, and when the time comes, you will be able to withdraw at much less than 1% of the current cost.

Meet the Team Episode 4 coming Friday with Engineering Manager Alex Pinto
Alex has been with Aventus from the early days and, as engineering manager, his job is to help ensure the Aventus tech team delivers.
Alex has a strong background in Software Engineering having got his masters in it and worked in the industry for 4 years before teaching computer science at university and earning a PhD in the subject, specialising in Cryptography and Complexity.
After his PhD, he went back into teaching and became Degree Programme Director of two degrees at a private Portuguese University.
His research at this time focused on Database anonymisation and public-key cryptography.
In 2012, he moved to England and got a job as Post-Doctoral Research Assistant at the Information Security Group at Royal Holloway — one of the oldest and most renowned research groups in the world for Cyber-Security. His research focused on public-key cryptography.
Following further industry work experience, he joined Artos in 2018 as Blockchain Engineer coding in Ethereum.
In 2019, he became Research Lead, focussing on the development of Zero-Knowledge solutions. In 2020, he became Engineering Manager for the Systems team, managing the team that developed the AvN. He continues in this role today.

Software Engineer
We are seeking an experienced and highly technical Test Development Engineer who is well versed in QA, software development and test automation, and who is interested in a QA role focused on the “insides” of the enterprise technology stack.
The mission of the QA engineer is to build a comprehensive automated QA infrastructure for Aventus blockchain platform and middleware components integrated with it.

CCO Anna Frankowska had a fruitful trip to Web Summit 2021 in Lisbon, meeting and mingling with a number of great, interesting, and influentials people in the world of tech including Sir Tim Berners-Lee; Nick Clegg; Craig Federighi, Senior VP of Software at Apple; Jen Wong; CEO of Apple; Amy Poehler, actress and found of Amy Poehler’s Smart Girls; and many, many more.
Talks at the world’s largest tech conference included everything from AI and climate change to leadership and social media and, crypto, NFTs, and the Metaverse were especially hot topics too.
It’s good to see the traditional tech world take notice.
Marketing Manager Teresa Chan’s best moments at Hong Kong FinTech Week
While Anna was networking in Lisbon, Marketing Manager Teresa Chan was spreading the good word in Hong Kong during Fintech week together with the UK Department for International Trade.
The programme allows eligible startups to exhibit, network, and unlock potential business opportunities.
Supported by the British Consulate General in Hong Kong, they shared their thrill at having our Marketing Manager Teresa Chan with them to promote Aventus and VereNFT.
Throughout the event, Teresa discussed the possibilities of blockchain and NFT with the representatives from Crypto.com, ConsenSys, IPification, HashKey Group, MOVE Network, AAX, Blockchain Solutions Limited, OKEx, and more.
She also developed new business opportunities for the Aventus Network that we are currently following up.
